Every year the same thing happens. The bins come down from the attic in mid-December, the tree goes up in a rush, and the garland that looked so good in the store ends up draped over the mantel and forgotten. It gets done. It never quite looks the way you pictured it.
We stage vacant homes across five counties — which means we spend our working lives making rooms photograph beautifully and feel like somewhere you want to sit down. Holiday decorating is the same craft on a warmer palette. We arrive with ladders, steamers, floral wire, extension cords and clippers, we open what you already own, and we build the version of your holiday you've been meaning to get to.
You come home to it finished. The bins are back in the attic, the floors are swept, and the tree is lit.

Half-day sessions, flat rates, no surprise invoice. Most homes are finished in a single four-hour session. Larger homes and multi-tree houses book two sessions or a full day — we'll tell you which you need before you pay anything.
The Half Day — $600

The right fit for a tree, a mantel, an entry and a dining table. Ideal for condos, cottages, and homes where the holiday lives in two or three rooms.
The Full Reveal — $1,200
Two designers · 4 hours
Twice the hands in the same afternoon. Whole-home decorating — every room on the list, garland runs, multiple trees, and the finish work that makes it photograph. You leave in the morning and come back to a decorated house.

Payment in full reserves your date — that's what takes it off the calendar for everyone else. Sessions run November 1 through December 18. Takedown weeks run January 2–15. Need to move your date? Tell us by November 1 and we'll reschedule you into any open week at no charge.

01 — Tell us about your house
A short call or a few photos. How many trees, how many rooms, what you already own, and what you've always wanted to do with the staircase.
02 — We plan and price it
You get a flat quote, a proposed install date, and an honest answer about whether your bins will carry the plan or whether we should shop first.
03 — Install day
We bring the bins down, unpack, build, light, and clean up behind ourselves. Empty boxes go back where they came from. You don't need to be home.
04 — January, handled
We come back, take it all down, and pack it labeled by room — so next year starts from an organized bin instead of a tangle.

We design rooms for a living and have staged homes across Skagit, Island, Whatcom, San Juan and Snohomish counties since 2023. You're hiring judgment about scale, repetition and light — not labor.

We're licensed and insured, we use felt pads and proper ladders, and we treat mantels, floors and heirloom ornaments the way we treat a listing we're accountable for.
An 11,000 sq ft warehouse behind us
Ribbon, picks, stems, lights, risers and containers are already on our shelves. If your plan needs one more thing, we usually already have it in the building.
Christmas decorating questions, answered
Do you use my decorations or yours?
Yours, first. Most homes have more than they think — it's usually a matter of editing, re-lighting and putting things where they actually belong. If your collection won't carry the plan, we'll shop for you at $75 an hour plus the cost of the décor, or bring pieces from our staging inventory.
How much does professional Christmas decorating cost in Skagit County?
Our flat rates are $600 for a four-hour session with one designer and $1,200 for four hours with two. Nationally, holiday decorating runs $50–$200 an hour and whole-home design packages average around $1,500, so a Full Reveal sits at the sensible end of that range — with a stager's eye attached.
Do you install outdoor Christmas lights on the roof?
No. We don't do roofline or high exterior lighting. We decorate interiors plus the covered porch, front door, railings and urns — the parts of the exterior that greet people at eye level. For roof lights we're happy to point you to a local installer.
When should I book?
Now. Install dates run November 1 through December 18, and the two weeks after Thanksgiving fill first every year. Reserve by October 15 and you choose your week; after that you take what's open.
How do I reserve a date, and when do I pay?
Dates are reserved with payment in full. Holiday work runs on a seven-week season with a fixed number of install days, so a date isn't held until it's paid — that's what keeps your week genuinely yours instead of provisionally yours. You'll get an invoice you can pay online the same day you choose your date. If you need to move it, tell us by November 1 and we'll reschedule you into any open week at no charge.
Do you take everything down in January?
Yes, from $300. We remove it all, sort it, and pack it labeled by room so next December starts from an organized bin. Takedown weeks run January 2–15 and are scheduled when you book your install.
Do I need to be home?
No. Most clients hand us a key or a code and come home to a finished house. We photograph the space when we're done and text you before we lock up.
Which towns do you decorate?
Anacortes, Mount Vernon, Burlington, La Conner, Sedro-Woolley, Oak Harbor, Coupeville, Camano Island, Stanwood, Bellingham, and Friday Harbor. If you're beyond 30 miles of Anacortes we'll quote travel with your date.
Can you decorate a vacation rental or a listed home?
Yes — and both photograph well. A holiday-styled short-term rental books better in the December window, and a listing that shows warm in a grey Northwest month gives buyers a reason to linger.
